Back to School Tips
Summer Scaries are REAL and they can leave you feeling guilty, stressed, and worried about all the back to school things that are coming up. Teachers do SO much throughout the school year, I think we can all agree we deserve to have our summers guilt free. I put together some of my favorite back to school tips and tricks you can do from your couch to prepare for the upcoming school year. Here’s to enjoying the rest of your summer!
Back to School Tips and Tricks
1. Make an Amazon Wish List – Log onto Amazon and get that wish list going! Add some things you’d like for you classroom and share it with family and friends on social media. Last year I had almost everything on my list funded! You’d be surprised who is willing to help out! Bonus: Share it with your class’ families at Back-to-School night or create a QR Code to include on your ‘Meet the Teacher” letter.
2. Print all the Things – Dig into your Google Drive and print all those back to school things you’ll need! Go ahead and get started on things like your “Meet the Teacher” letter, parent questionnaire, health forms, transportation forms, etc. Basically anything you might need for Back to School night! You’ll thank yourself for this one when teacher work week rolls around!
3. Create a Copy Folder – All those things you just printed? Save them in a safe place! Grab a cheap folder from the dollar store (or a cute one from Amazon) and label it “copy”. All of your important papers you just printed will be in one place and now you can go straight to the copier. Or, better, hand it off to someone who’s willing to help you out with all that copying!
4. Look for Storage – Organization is everything! Check Amazon and your favorite retail websites for sales on your favorite containers. I personally love storage with lids so I can transfer my classroom essentials easily. I use these containers for EVERYTHING, from crayons to glue sticks to Legos to blocks! Bonus: Containers with lids are easier for kids to carry too!
5. Label all the Things – Grab those sticky notes or a free download and start labeling those containers! I love labeling bins for school supplies so at “Back to School” night all that supplies already has a home!
